The concept of Ayurveda

The Ayurvedic theory is based on the concept that the world is a blend of five elements which are fire water Earth air and space.  The human body is also a combination of these five elements and this force is responsible for three forces of life which are called doshas in Ayurveda.  The three life forces or doses are

  1. Vata
  2. Kapha
  3. Pitta

The human life is a unique mixture of all the three doshas and one dosha is influential at a particular time.  The possibility of getting ill can be predicted with the help of understanding the doshas of a person which is interrupting the flow of the most vital energy called Prana. The disturbances in the flow of energy hinder the digestion process and the body gets excess wastage waste product or Ama has a more negative effect on the digestion and further block the energy flow.

The Ayurvedic treatment process includes a diet chart, exercises along with yoga and meditation.  Herbs are extensively used in the ayurvedic treatment and one of the most popular Plant is the aloe vera. Aloe vera is considered as a wonder plant and the Aloe Vera Gel has various therapeutic properties which made it one of the best ayurvedic products for treating various kinds of problem.

Uses of aloe vera

Healing properties of aloe vera are recognized by Ayurveda for more than six thousand years ago. Aloe vera mainly grows abundantly in China, North America and Mexico and in India.  In Egypt, the aloe vera plant was considered to be the plant of immortality and was the sacred funeral gift to the Egyptian pharaohs.

The aloe vera juice is mostly used in Ayurveda.  The aloe vera juice is used as a moisturizer and an antiseptic gel. The sun burns can be effectively treated with the help of aloe vera gel. The aloe vera juice is extensively used to enhance the digestion process.

The gel can be obtained from the aloe vera leaves.   The clear gel is extracted from the aloe vera leaves and used in various skin problems.  The Aloe Vera Gel is also used to cool the skin after mild burn injuries. Like all ayurvedic products, Aloe vera also has very mild side effects.  the gel can be allergic to some people if it is directly applied to their skin.

  • The healing properties of is very effective to treat heartburn and belching.  People suffering from digestive disorders can get relief by consuming aloe vera juice regularly.
  • Aloe vera juice is known to reduce blood sugar level. Two tablespoon of aloe vera juice is required to be taken regularly for two weeks to lower the blood sugar level of type 2 diabetes patients
