The Head of the State visited Ace, the new tennis court in Almaty
Nursultan Nazarbaev, the Head of the Republic of Kazakhstan, visited the newly built tennis center in Almaty called Ace.
During his visit to this sports facility, the Head of the State said that over the last 10 years, all necessary conditions for the development of tennis is Kazakhstan. The total number of tennis courts has increased four-fold, from 60 to 244. Every year, more and more athletes are getting involved in this sport.
Nursultan Nazarbaev said that the successful development of tennis is ensured by the appropriate infrastructure. A world-class tennis court should be built in every region of the country so that the children would have an opportunity to engage in this sport and have great professional achievements. He expressed the hope that these young athletes would become the globally recognized sports stars.
Over the course of conversation with young tennis players, the President of Kazakhstan wished them to always be sure of victory, achieve the set goals, and display perseverance and athletic skills.
The Ace tennis center has 4 indoor and 6 outdoor courts which cover the area of 8100 square meters with hard surfacing. The center also has 2 gyms, a medical center, locker rooms, instructors’ offices, conference hall, and feeding units. All courts have the lighting that adheres to the strictest international standards. This is the only tennis center in Almaty that can host such tournaments as ATP Challenge during summertime.
The sports object was built at the expense of private investors.
